The 7th edition of Balon Mundial, the football competition of migrant communities living in Turin, ended on July 5th with the victory of Brazil. Over 46 teams representing more than 30 counties and a total of 1200 athletes participated this year.

For the second consecutive year, Project Greenback 2.0 joined and supported Balon Mundial with the aim of raising awareness among the communities about costs and channels to send money home. Greenback 2.0 also took part to a workshop on “Migrant Economy” along with other organizations such as Per Micro, Action Aid, and Acaf.

Balon Mundial, il torneo calcistico tra le comunità straniere residenti a Torino, si è concluso domenica 5 Luglio con la vittoria del Brasile. Il torneo, giunto alla sua settima edizione, ha visto la partecipazione di ben 46 squadre a rappresentanza di oltre 30 paesi, per un totale di 1200 atleti coinvolti.

Per il secondo anno consecutivo, il Progetto Greenback 2.0 ha sponsorizzato Balon Mundial per sensibilizzare atleti e tifosi su modalità e costi di invio del denaro. Il Progetto Greenback 2.0 ha anche partecipato alla tavola rotonda organizzata dall’Associazione Balon Mundial su “Economia Migrante” insieme ad altre realtà come Per Micro, Action Aid e Acaf.
