The following table summarizes how much it costs, on average, to send money from one country to another. The total cost includes transaction fees plus the exchange rate margin or "spread". The latter is a measure of how good a deal the sender is getting on the exchange rate offered by a firm.

Note: Corridor averages are unweighted and do not reflect the market shares of the different firms that compose the average. In some corridors, exchange rate information was not available, and therefore prices in those corridors may be higher than the amount shown. The few cases where negative exchange rate margins are shown are related to either the existence of a "parallel" or "grey" foreign exchange market, or the remittance service provider offering a promotion on the day the information was collected.
